Kalen DeBoer made one of his first stops on the recruiting road during the open contact period at national powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Alabama has recently had terrific recruiting success with individuals like Tyler Booker, Jihaad Campbell, and JC Latham, so maintaining the bond and connection was crucial.

Conversations with various possibilities in January culminated in a few spring guests, including four-star Zech Fort. The previous staff offered the No. 2 safety position in the 2026 class and paid several visits to Tuscaloosa. He returned to The Capstone last weekend for the spring scrimmage.

A lot can change dramatically at any time during the recruiting process. New opportunities can make all the difference, and a campus tour could be a game changer. Much of this applies to 2025 defensive lineman Javeon Campbell, Kentucky’s No. 3 recruit.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder attended Alabama for a spring practice last month, was offered by assistant head coach/defensive line coach Freddie Roach four days later, and now an official visit is scheduled after a top nine list of colleges was narrowed down.
