BREAKING:Former Vikings Star Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs Signs new contract with…

FOX 9 MINNEAPOLIS – Has Stefon Diggs turned into a troublemaker after becoming the Minneapolis Miracle?

On Wednesday morning, Diggs was dealt for the second time in the last five years. In exchange for a 2025 second round pick, Diggs and a sixth-round pick this year and a fifth-round pick in 2025 were sold from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans. The Minnesota Vikings handed the Texans the selection as part of a package to obtain this year’s No. 23 overall pick.

During his four seasons in Buffalo, Diggs started 65 games and caught 445 passes for over 5,300 yards and 37 touchdowns. With the Bills, he had four consecutive seasons of 1,000 yards and was named to the First Team All-Pro in 2020.

That comes after Diggs played his first five seasons in Minnesota after being selected by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. After five seasons and 365 receptions for over 4,600 yards and 30 touchdowns, Diggs was unhappy with the Vikings and forced a trade with Buffalo in 2020 in exchange for numerous draft picks.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Vikings selected Justin Jefferson with one of those picks. Jefferson has developed into one of the NFL’s top receivers and is headed for a record-breaking payday with the Vikings.

The “Minneapolis Miracle,” a 61-yard walk-off touchdown pass from Case Keenum during the 2018 NFC Divisional Playoffs at U.S. Bank Stadium, is what made Diggs most famous. It advanced the Vikings to the Philadelphia NFC Championship Game. That year’s Super Bowl was held in Minneapolis.
