BREAKING:Leicester City’s Championship Aspirations Takes Hit as Key Player…

Callum Doyle won’t be available for Leicester City’s trip to Bristol City after the international break. The Foxes will play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend in the FA Cup quarterfinals, taking a breather from the Championship promotion fight.

The Foxes in west London battled Chelsea all the way, just like Leeds United did in the previous round, and were able to square the score at 2-2 going into injury time. However, late goals from Noni Madueke and Carney Chukwuemeka broke Enzo Maresca’s team’s hearts, leaving Leicester with nothing to worry about for the next two months of the season save the league.

Leicester also suffered a further setback in the 73rd minute of the match when Doyle was sent off for a foul on the edge of the box, which resulted in the fall of Nicolas Jackson. Due to his dismissal, he will serve out his one-game suspension on Good Friday when the Foxes visit Ashton Gate.

Leicester is devastated since Doyle has been contributing and making a comeback in the past several months following a protracted knee injury. Doyle, who is on loan from Manchester City, has only appeared in 13 league games for Leicester this season due to injury, but he will undoubtedly be eager to contribute when he serves his ban on Easter Monday.

Jamie Vardy’s injury prevented him from traveling to Chelsea, therefore Maresca will be monitoring his condition throughout the international break. As Leicester gets ready to make one more push to reclaim a spot at the top table in English football, he’ll be eager to see players like Dennis Praet, Ricardo Pereira, and Ricardo Pereira return from injury as soon as possible.
