Jevon Holland of the Dolphins attacks the former Miami DC Victor Fangio

Dolphin security Following his January departure from Miami, Jevon Holland persisted in his taunting of former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

Jalen Ramsey was very vocal about how Fangio’misused’ the defense in Miami the previous season after the play-caller left for Philadelphia. The unfavorable comments also followed the team’s release of Xavien Howard, the “best cornerback in Dolphins history,” according to Ramsey.

Holland was blunt in his assessment of Fangio’s and new DC Anthony Weaver’s differences on Tuesday.

In a press conference, Holland underlined that under Weaver’s leadership, the defense did ‘a complete 180’.

Taking a shot at Fangio, Holland continued, “It’s the face that he’s a good person that makes a difference.”

Fangio’s defense ranked 19th in the DVOA rankings during his one and only season in Miami. The group ranked ninth in yards allowed per play and tenth in yards allowed overall.

The Eagles defense, which ranked 30th in points allowed and 26th in yards allowed, will be under Fangio’s command.

This week’s OTA practices at NovaCare Complex were Fangio’s first interaction with the Eagles, despite the fact that his former teammates have not stopped venting their unhappiness over his departure.

Fangio addressed the reported enmity between himself and the Dolphins defense during his inaugural press conference.

“Really, I didn’t see that at all,” Fangio remarked. Everything we do, whether it’s there, here, or anyplace else I’ve been, is based on what we believe is best for the defense, in particular, to stop someone. That will fall wherever that happens to fall.
