Tyreek Hill allegedly wants the Dolphins to give him a new contract

Tyreek Hill could force the Miami Dolphins to pay a wide receiver in the near future.

Since the end of the 2023 campaign, Hill has reportedly been pressuring the Dolphins for a new deal, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. After being traded to Miami, Hill inked a four-year, $120 million extension; however, the market has since moved, making that deal appear incredibly team-friendly.

Since Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown also signed a new contract, Hill’s desire for a new deal has only increased. In the same offseason, Hill and Brown received new contracts at about the same time. In April, Brown agreed to a three-year, $96 million contract extension.

Hill’s current contract has two years left on it, however it is highly doubtful that he will play in the $45 million final year of the deal. The fact that the Dolphins recently signed another excellent wide receiver to a large contract could only make Hill more determined to complete his task.

With a league-high 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdown catches in 2023, Hill was exceptional.
