Results of the IndyCar Road America qualification

The pavement began the session wet and continued to dry during the NTT IndyCar Series qualifying from Road America on Saturday, making for a suspenseful struggle between driver and course.

For the first time in his inexperienced IndyCar career, Linus Lundqvist, driving a Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, managed to take the lead from the starting grid.

Throughout the weekend, Colton Herta and Marcus Armstrong both looked fast, setting the second and third fastest times, respectively.

On his last push lap, Josef Newgarden made a huge error by touching the wet curbing at The Kink, which resulted in a terrible collision into the wall. Even though his automobile was practically damaged, he still left.
