Carlos Alcaraz’s dream was fulfilled by Queen’s Club; the star is eager to watch the Euro 2024 match

At Queen’s, Carlos Alcaraz will take against Jack Draper in the cinch Championships second round.
At the Queen’s Club, Carlos Alcaraz’s wish has come true as organizers have made sure he can witness Spain play Italy in the 2024 European Championship.

The reigning champion, who faces Jack Draper in the Cinch Championships’ second round on Thursday, announced that he would like to play Spain earlier in the day, at 8 p.m. UK time.

Draper will be happy to hear that England will play Denmark at 5 p.m.

At Queen’s, there will be a much-anticipated encounter between Alcaraz and Draper. The Spaniard is coming off a victory at the French Open, while Draper recently won his first title in Stuttgart.

This will be the third meeting between the highly effective young talents. But in order to avoid conflict with the Euros, their game will not take place during prime time. Play will begin at 12 p.m. local time for their second match of the day on Center Court.

Alcaraz said that he will be making a cheeky request to the organizers over the timetable after winning his initial match on Tuesday. The Euro Cup, after all, occurs every four years. It’s time to watch and cheer on Spain right now. Yes, hopefully I’ll ask to start playing early,” he grinned.

And because he might be on the court as early as 1.30 pm, depending on the result of Alejandro Tabilo vs. Tommy Paul, the opening match of the day, he will have plenty of time to complete all of his post-match obligations and cool-downs before Spain set out in the evening.

Additionally, since both matches will be televised on the BBC, English tennis fans won’t have to decide between watching Draper or the Euros. If he finishes in time, the new British No. 1 Draper will attempt to watch England as well, but he wasn’t as upset about missing the match as Alcaraz was.

When asked whether he would seek a similar early game, the Stuttgart winner replied, “No, I had no idea they were playing.” The football has simply kind of gone over my head because there has been so much going on lately.

“I suppose it works out well if we are playing early. If England is playing at 5:00, you could be able to see the football and observe how the game progresses. The match is the most significant item in my opinion.

The likelihood of a football matchup between British No. 6 Billy Harris and qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who plays in the third match on Thursday, is higher since Harris cannot say the same. And because he plays the last match on Thursday, Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti may also run into issues if he wants to witness Italy vs. Spain at 8 p.m.
