Bills fans will love what Bleacher Report said about this AFC East rival

Bills Mafia will be delighted to hear this.

One of the periods that should be brought up when NFL fans discuss absolute dominance is the New England Patriots’ nearly two-decade reign as the AFC East’s dominant team. The Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins were fighting for second place because to Tom Brady and the Patriots’ inability to take the division away from them. The Patriots established the greatest NFL dynasty ever with their divisional victories year after year. They’ve won six Super Bowls, numerous division titles, and have fielded some of the greatest players in NFL history over the years.

The Patriots were moving in a direction they had not been in for a while when the decade of the 2010s came to a conclusion. Brady left the Patriots to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs, and since New England never really struck “reset,” they are now embarking on a full rebuild under new head coach Jerod Mayo. The Patriots have only had one successful season since Brady left, and that one included a postseason appearance before losing badly to the Bills 47–17. After Mac Jones’ rookie season, New England’s attempt to turn things around with Bill Belichick and Jones proved to be disastrous. With a 5-11 record, the Patriots experienced their lowest season since 2000.

The Patriots are rebuilding in 2024 under a new coach, and they’ll start developing rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Next season, New England is predicted to be among the worst teams once more and to have another high first-round draft pick. Anticipating which players could be a member of a great squad in five to ten years is an exciting element of rebuilding. Some people think the Patriots are really wasting their reconstruction and don’t have an intriguing future.

The Patriots, the Carolina Panthers, the Denver Broncos, the New Orleans Saints, and the New York Giants are among the clubs that Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report listed as having the wrong rebuilding trajectory.

The Bills were the Patriots’ little brother for a very long time. The Bills have only lost to the Patriots twice since Brady left the division, and they have won the AFC East the past four seasons. The fact that New England is regarded as a team squandering its rebuild indicates that the Patriots haven’t accomplished anything noteworthy to be taken seriously as a rising force.

Their roster is among the slowest in the league, and although their quarterback has a lot of promise, he still needs to work on a lot of his mistakes before he can be trusted as a full-time starter. The Patriots still need to improve offensively, which is essential for a successful club in the modern NFL, even though they will still have an above average defense.
