£70 million The Premier League defender acknowledges that his mother “loves” Mo Salah and that he would be open to joining Liverpool.

With six weeks remaining before the season kicks off, Liverpool is still deciding on their best offensive strategy in the summer transfer window. The Reds have not made any firm acquisitions.

As of right now, it seems that Arne Slot’s main priority is getting the players back to the AXA Training Centre for preseason and getting them up to speed.

After that, though, the Liverpool team still needs one or two reinforcements, especially in the defense.

There’s an emptiness left by the departure of Joel Matip at the end of the last campaign. Other possibilities may open as Liverpool insiders are reportedly discounting rumors of a move for Riccardo Calafiori.

Liverpool had thought to be well served by pursuing Calafiori. It appears that the Reds are searching for a left-sided defender who may also be able to play left-back.

However, Richard Hughes and the Reds recruitment team will need to go elsewhere since the Italian is now probably off the table.

The center defender for Nottingham Forest, Murillo, has been discussed recently. Murillo, a left-footed player as well, did well in his Premier League debut season with Forest.

Although there have been rumors in the past few days suggesting that Liverpool had lost interest in Murillo, the player has now discussed a possible move.
