Bidding war erupts after Man Utd put star who saved Ten Hag’s job up for sale; FOUR Prem sides in the running

Five clubs, including four Premier League teams, are reportedly interested in signing a Manchester United player who was placed on the transfer list after he exceeded all expectations in the previous season and is credited for keeping Erik ten Hag on the team.

In what was an unsettling season at Old Trafford the previous year, very few Manchester United players came out with their heads held high. While the Red Devils’ FA Cup victory over Manchester City marked a high point in the season, Erik ten Hag faced significant pressure to leave the team altogether.

After deliberating for sixteen days following the FA Cup final, Man Utd ultimately decided to retain the Dutchman. Later on Thursday morning, United declared that Ten Hag had agreed to a one-year contract extension.

Throughout the season, Alejandro Garnacho was a shining light for Argentina, proving to be a reliable starter on the wings.

At Wembley, Kobbie Mainoo scored what turned out to be the winner, while Garnacho scored the first goal.

The two were United’s greatest assets, but midfielder Scott McTominay was as impressive.

The Scotland international tied Garnacho for third place in the club’s top scorers rankings with 15 goals, behind only Rasmus Hojlund (16) and Bruno Fernandes (15) with a career-best 10 goals in all competitions.

In the Premier League, McTominay scored game-winning goals against Brentford, Aston Villa, and Chelsea. The Scot scored as well in the thrilling 4-3 triumph over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinal.

ManchesterWorld claims that McTominay’s actions may have been crucial in Ten Hag escaping termination.

But in football, loyalty and appreciation only go so far, and according to the rumor, the player is now up for sale.
