John Wenham wants Tottenham to sign Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz this summer.
The North London club have been linked with the Argentine midfielder for a while now. The owner of the Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels that the 21-year-old midfielder would be a quality addition for the North London club and his versatility will be an added bonus.
Wenham stated, “I remember thinking what an exciting player Alcaraz was when Southampton were last in the Premier League,” in an interview with Tottenham News.
At age 21, I believe he is worth taking a chance on because he can play in a variety of midfield positions.
“I believe he has made it clear he wants to move to a bigger club, so I don’t think Southampton is actively trying to get rid of him.”
He would therefore undoubtedly welcome a move to Tottenham, and I would be more than happy to see Tottenham sign him.
In the winter of 2023, Alcaraz moved to Southampton after rising through the ranks at Racing Club. He had a remarkable beginning to his life in England.
Despite the fact that the Saints are back in the Premier League, the player wants to sign with a bigger team before the new campaign begins, and Tottenham might be the perfect fit. Although his previous performances may not have thrilled everyone, the 21-year-old still has potential.
His performance will only improve with guidance and experience. Tottenham would be making a long-term investment in Alcaraz, so it is unclear if they can close the deal.
