Report – Liverpool ready to pay £50.8m set for signing after price reduced from £84.7m

After Lille lowered the asking price from £84.7m, Liverpool is prepared to pay the £50.8m that was agreed upon to recruit French talent Leny Yoro, according to sources.

Sport published an article today (see news graphic below) claiming that the Reds are “still in the fight” to sign the central defender this summer.

According to the Catalan media site, the Ligue 1 team started requesting a payment of £84.7 million, or 100 million euros.

Following that, they dropped the price to 80 million euros, and as of right now, the cost is £50.8 million, or 60 million euros.

Sport reports that Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to pay Lille’s most recent £50.8 million asking price for Yoro.

The defender, who is only willing to accept a transfer to Real Madrid, does not, however, approve of the Premier League or the Ligue 1 powerhouses.

According to the Spanish source, the Los Blancos intend to utilize the money they receive from the sale of Rafa Marin to Napoli—for a price tag of 12 million euros—to entice Yoro.

Madrid wants Lille to lower the asking price even more because they are only willing to negotiate a deal on their conditions.

The European Champions “will wait another season” to sign Leny Yoro on a free transfer if they are unable to come to an agreement to sign him this summer.

Currently, Lille would probably have to give Yoro a cheap sale as he is not interested in joining PSG or Liverpool, rather than losing him to a Bosman in 2025.
