Dolphins Are Sacked by Insider for Not Paying Tua Tagovailoa

Several standout quarterbacks in the NFL are currently seeking contract extensions, among them Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins.

Tagovailoa has surmounted early career challenges to become remarkably productive, culminating in a stellar 2023 season where he led the league with 4,624 passing yards and earned his inaugural Pro Bowl selection. Under his leadership, the Dolphins secured their second consecutive playoff berth.

During an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” NFL insider Jordan Schultz voiced his bewilderment regarding the delay in Tagovailoa’s contract extension, as reported by FinsXtra.

Tagovailoa, selected fifth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, faced criticism after posting average numbers in his first two seasons. However, he displayed marked improvement in 2022 and emerged as a potential star in 2023.

Despite scrutiny, particularly for his lack of NFL playoff victories and struggles against winning teams, Tagovailoa is recognized for his exceptional accuracy and has helped transform Miami into one of the league’s most explosive offenses.

In the previous season, the Dolphins ranked second in points scored, first in passing yards, and first in total yards. Tagovailoa’s stewardship has notably elevated the performance of superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who thrived since joining Miami two years ago.

Hill led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards and tied for the lead with 13 receiving touchdowns in 2023. His consistent production in Miami, surpassing 1,700 receiving yards each season, contrasts with his previous tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs.

With potential improvements in their defense, the Dolphins could emerge as a formidable AFC contender in the near future.
