Artificial Intelligence to Guard Buffalo Bills Stadium

The AI-enabled incident command platform FLORIAN from 3AM Innovations is being integrated into the everyday operations of the Orchard Park, New York Fire District.

NY’s Buffalo. 2024 July – Highmark Stadium events featuring the Buffalo Bills will be enhanced with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology. This is happening as the stadium is within the jurisdiction of the Orchard Park Fire District, which is getting ready to incorporate the AI-enabled incident command platform FLORIAN into daily operations.

FLORIAN will assist Orchard Park Fire District in supporting their emergency response. The district guards over 30,000 residents as well as important locations, such as the Buffalo Bills’ stadium. The cutting-edge software was created by award-winning Buffalo, New York-based tech startup 3AM Innovations, and it’s intended to boost on-site security, streamline incident management procedures, and offer situational updates in real time. Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Arizona, and California fire departments have already adopted this cutting-edge equipment. The Orchard Park Fire District, which is only 15 miles from Buffalo, has now joined the ranks of those utilizing FLORIAN’s cutting-edge technology and sophisticated AI capabilities, as 3AM Innovations is pleased to report.

By utilizing AI, FLORIAN can automatically notify incident command in response to certain keywords or phrases, such “mayday.” In addition, it provides voice control and transcription, immediate media sharing, real-time resource and personnel tracking, and 3D and satellite mapping. When every second matters, FLORIAN’s user-friendly interface assists incident commanders in making prompt, well-informed decisions. It also offers a variety of supplementary capabilities to enhance incident management.

Following FLORIAN’s successful three-month trial at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis last year, OPFD was given the chance to test the system. They were able to personally witness the multitude of advantages that the technology offers. including the Automated Personnel Location (APL) feature of FLORIAN, which allows the incident commander to follow the whereabouts of any staff member in real-time and locate them instantaneously. According to OPFD, this was quite helpful while the Buffalo Bills were playing.
We created 3AM as a reaction to a catastrophe. Our goal is to transform incident management and enhance the tracking of first responders during events. It is a great time for us to be able to provide this technology to a fire district right here in our neighborhood, said Patrick O’Connor, president and co-founder of 3AM Innovations. The Orchard Park Fire District has been protecting the local community for the past 100 years, covering 37 square miles, or roughly the area of Manhattan, comprising both rural and urban scenery. It is a privilege to help them maintain the security of our neighbors and friends.

The Orchard Park Fire District’s close proximity to 3AM Innovations highlights the importance of this collaboration. As they guarantee improved efficiency and safety at the Buffalo Bills stadium and elsewhere, and as they provide cutting-edge AI solutions to the neighborhood.
