Jaelan Phillips of the Miami Dolphins Discusses His Recuperation Before Training Camp

Before suffering an injury that ended his season, Jaelan Phillips was one of the Dolphins’ defensive standouts.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips is chronicling his journey back from a serious Achilles injury that kept him out of action prior to the team’s brief postseason appearance as he gets ready for the 2024 campaign.

On July 17, Phillips posted updates to his Instagram stories showing off his development and field workouts.

On July 16, Phillips demonstrated his speed and agility while doing ladder drills in a series of Instagram stories, highlighting his resolve to get back on the field. He was faced with the difficult task of being unable to walk following the injury, which happened during the Dolphins’ 2023 Black Friday triumph at MetLife Stadium over the New York Jets, just four months ago.

With the opening of training camp on July 23 only one week away, Phillips appears to be well on his approach to earning back his spot on the field. Fans are excited to watch how he will impact the Dolphins defense in his fourth season with the team as he prepares to make a comeback.

Prior to missing the entire season due to an injury, Phillips had 6.5 sacks. When the Dolphins entered the playoffs, he was one of several important players sidelined by injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs, who went on to win Super Bowl LVII, defeated the Phins in the Wild Card round, bringing an end to the team’s season.
