WATCH: Alcaraz Shows Off His New Mark Maiden Tattoo Win Roland Garros

Carlos Alcaraz has inked another tennis accomplishment into his skin because he isn’t ready to give up on tattoos just yet.

In honor of his Roland Garros victory, Alcaraz pledged last month to get more tattoos and ink on his body. He had to travel to the UK to begin the grass-court swing, so it was a busy time for him.

He had been on holiday in Ibiza before that, so he hadn’t had time to get a tattoo. That was before to concluding an incredibly fruitful grass-court season in which he defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets to successfully defend the Wimbledon title.

Alcaraz went to see well-known Los Angeles tattoo artist Joaquin Ganga, who has inked NBA players like LeBron James, American rapper Post Malone, and Nick Kyrgios.
Alcaraz received a new tattoo of the Eiffel Tower, a representation of Paris, in a video posted by Ganga. Last month, Alcaraz won his first Roland Garros after coming back from two sets to one down against Alexander Zverev.

Although this is not Carlos Alcaraz’s first tattoo, we can be sure that, in light of the commitment he made to his parents, he will reduce the frequency with which he adds ink to his body.

He declares that the only tattoos he wants to have are of his initial Grand Slam victories. Three other tattoos, all with significant symbolic meanings, are on Alcaraz. They’re not all connected to his accomplishments in tennis.
And the date of his success is right below it. The Spanish tattoo artist called Alcaraz, a fellow citizen, a “inspiration” in an Instagram post and joked that he would soon receive a new one.
One is the day “11.09.22” of the 2022 US Open, where he won his maiden Grand Slam championship. Within 24 hours, at the age of 19, he would become the youngest World No. 1 in ATP history.
Additionally, he has the triple Cs inked on his wrist, which stand for “cabeza,” “corazon,” and “cojones” in Spanish and, when translated into English, “head,” “heart,” and “balls.”

This, his first tattoo honoring his grandfather, provides a boost of courage and vigor when things become tight during a match. A strawberry, the most popular snack among Wimbledon players and tennis spectators, appears on his third tattoo.

Alcaraz is of the opinion that he should have his first majors inscribed. He is only 21 years old and is among the fastest players to reach four slams, but he hasn’t won the Australian Open yet.

In addition, Alcaraz declared that if he took home a gold medal in singles or doubles at the Olympics in Paris, he would get a new tattoo.
