Throughout his 19-year NBA career, Carmelo Anthony accomplished a great deal, but one thing he never did was win a title.
If he had been a member of the Miami Heat with Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James, things might have turned out differently.
Anthony mentioned he might move to Miami to join the big three when he chatted with Paul George on the “Podcast P” program, according to NBACentral.
However, Anthony believed he was at the top of his game and didn’t want to be the team’s fourth option, so he decided to turn down the calls to South Beach.
There were many rumors regarding Anthony and James working together at that point in his career.
Although it was unclear which side the two players would play for, George stated in the interview that they both wanted to get together.
Melo revealed that he had the opportunity to team up with LeBron, D-Wade, and Bosh, but he wasn’t comfortable being the fourth option in his prime š²

Though Anthony was coming off of his finest season and had accomplished incredible things for the Denver Nuggets, he could have enjoyed great success in Miami.
Being the team’s leader and greatest player, he found it incongruous to be the fourth choice behind James, Wade, and Bosh.
Anthony acknowledges that in order to fit in, he would have needed to set aside his ego and alter his style of play.
Even if he could have won some titles and enjoyed playing with his pals, Anthony wasn’t satisfied with that.
Rather, he traveled to New York, where he played for the Knicks for a while before switching to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, and Houston Rockets.
He ultimately decided to retire following a season with the Los Angeles Lakers, which allowed him to play with James once more.
