Stephen A. Smith names 1 player cowboys should pay right now

The Dallas Cowboys are currently facing a difficult circumstance.

They chose not to pay CeeDee Lamb or Dak Prescott, and they may regret that choice in the near future.

Even still, Stephen A. Smith continues to feel that Micah Parsons should be given more priority than them.

Smith made the case that Parsons personifies everything Cowboys supporters think they stand for in the most recent episode of ESPN’s First Take.

He described Parsons as a disruptive defender who will take aim at the quarterback on the other team and as a fierce competitor.

He believes Parsons goes above and beyond to compensate for Dak Prescott’s lack of production for the Cowboys on the defensive end of the ball.

Smith contends that even though teams often give precedence to wide receivers and quarterbacks, Parsons was their most valuable player, thus they ought to complete that agreement first.

To some extent, that makes sense.

Parsons is without a doubt one of the most gifted and disruptive players in the National Football League, but like Prescott, he has also fallen short at crucial junctures during games or seasons.

In addition, there is his persona and the amount of talking he has done since joining the league; rumors had it that he was “wearing thin” inside the group.

Smith is correct that they need to pay him now rather than waiting until it’s too late, even though the Cowboys should believe in him.
