Latest CBS Sports rankings show Buffalo Bills offensive supporting cast to be ignored

The Buffalo Bills have been subjected to discussions about them and their completed offseason for a number of months. The Bills are losing a lot of games and not making many big wins, thus fans’ expectations are declining. People are debating whether team, the Miami Dolphins or the New York Jets, will win the division in 2024 because they care that much. The Bills own the AFC East, hands down, until one of them defeats Buffalo.

Releasing Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs was the largest “highlight” of Buffalo’s offseason. Since their “number one” receiver is out of town, it’s important to determine who Josh Allen can turn to in a pinch. It’s really easy to understand: the Bills have the advantage of not having the top wideout. Buffalo has a few choices for the top target going into the 2024 season, however having one is still vital.

Having a strong supporting group is clearly crucial when you have a quarterback like Josh Allen. The majority of football fans don’t share the Bills’ belief that they have what it takes to surround Allen, despite their internal beliefs.

CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin compiled a ranking of the best 10 quarterback scenarios with respect to supporting casts. Buffalo’s supporting cast appears to be underwhelming Benjamin, as evidenced by their placement outside of the top 10 in the wild card berth.

Although Dalton Kincaid and James Cook were acknowledged, Benjamin is undervaluing the offensive potential of the Bills. After Joe Brady assumed control of the offense, Khalil Shakir was possibly Buffalo’s most important weapon. With Brady serving as offensive coordinator in 2020, Curtis Samuel experienced his finest season as a quarterback. He has now acquired an exceptional quarterback.

The offensive line, which provided Allen with the finest protection of his career, will virtually remain the same even with Connor McGovern switching to center.

It is disrespectful to what the supporting cast of the Bills accomplished in the final stretch of the previous season to win the division to rank them outside of the top ten. As the season draws near, Bills fans should want to see more of this offensive, which is currently being underutilized.
