On the 7PM in Brooklyn Podcast with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero, Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups went viral yesterday after relaying a tale about a player posting a highlight of his dunk at halftime while trailing by 18 points.
“We are in New Orleans, and we are down about 18 at halftime,” Billups remarked. “I had a son, and he had a horrible dunk. We are about to start the third quarter, and this m—- f—- has already uploaded his dunk on his joint from halftime.
“Man, you know I grinded his a– up. I catch wind of it. I yelled, “Aye yo bro, get the f— back there and take that s— down from your joint.” What is the f— wrong with you, man? (The player replied): “My bad coach.” “I apologize.”

After reviewing the game’s numbers and highlights, the Internet concluded that the nameless player was now-Phoenix Suns forward Nassir Little. Little spent his first four seasons in Portland, from 2019 to 23, before being moved to Phoenix in the Deandre Ayton transaction last September.

Little took to X today to clear up that it wasn’t him:
“I have never posted a highlight during a game in my life. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Also friends, you may not be as smart as you think, don’t trust all you see on the internet.”
