Rams News: LA’s New Cornerback Considers His Aggressive Pursuit of Free Agency

The new cornerback for Los Angeles explains in an interview how the Rams’ aggressive approach led to his signing.

This offseason, the Los Angeles Rams signed Tre’Davious White, a former great cornerback for the Buffalo Bills, which is a huge move.

After spending seven seasons in Buffalo, White, 29, made a fresh start in Los Angeles when he signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the Rams.

White offers a plethora of talent and experience to the Rams defense, despite his recent struggles with injuries. With 82 career games played, he has amassed over 300 tackles and 18 interceptions, which are all impressive statistics. The Rams are counting on him to get back on track and make a big impact on their defensive line-up.

The Rams’ steadfast interest in White during free agency and his familiarity with the team’s medical staff—especially the surgeon who conducted his surgery—played a role in White’s decision to sign with them.

“The Rams just kept calling and kept pressing.,” White stated. “They were genuinely interested in me. It’s a red flag if someone is acting that way. I was also blessed with the team doctor, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who performed my surgery. I felt that this was a sign because everything had been leading up to this, and these men had been taking care of me. They’ve been performing admirably.”

The Rams view White’s signing as a critical step in strengthening their roster. He might be a vital member of the club and improve their defensive output this season if he can maintain his health.
