That his summer did not go as planned because he received a rough draw at the French Open. He also got a difficult draw at the Olympics.

I believe he was hoping to receive a medal. But, overall, he is free to do anything he wants. I informed him that he has been one of the most legendary tennis players in our sport’s history. But, before that, his previous ATP tour performance saw him get to the final in Bastad, defeating Mariano Navone and Cam Norrie.

Losing against Nuno Borges demonstrated his capacity to continue competing at the highest level.

So, with that in mind, his next event will be the Laver Cup in Berlin, where many believe he may retire, following in Federer’s footsteps.
