Andy Murray slaughters new Six Kings Slam as Nadal, Djokovic and Alcaraz sign up

Andy Murray’s opinions on the Six Kings Slam have become evident following the promotion of the Saudi Arabian event by Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz.

Andy Murray has damaged the Six Kings Slam, which is set to take place in Saudi Arabia, by saying that “nobody cares” about the highly anticipated tennis showcase. The richest tennis tournament of 2024 is scheduled to take place in October in Riyadh, with a star-studded field prepared to travel to the Middle East to compete.

The Six Kings Slam is a brand-new tournament that will not award ATP ranking points because it is officially classified as an exhibition.

Nonetheless, from October 16 to October 19, the world’s top tennis players will be participating because to the incredible prize money up for grabs.

At The Venue in Riyadh, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune will compete.

For their involvement, all six players are assured a minimum of £1.12 million, which is far more than the amount Wimbledon’s losing semi-finalists were given this summer.

However, the inaugural winner will receive an incredible £4.5 million, which is nearly twice as much as Sinner earned for winning the US Open earlier in the month.

The six players who are slated to compete in the Saudi capital are featured in a five-minute high-budget film that was produced by the Six Kings Slam on Friday to promote the tournament.

It was directed by Los Perez and has received widespread acclaim, increasing anticipation for the glitzy event in just over two weeks.

The participants in the short film are each shown in historical settings that have connections to their respective play styles and countries.

Rune stands on a Viking longboat before parting the ocean with a return, Sinner makes an appearance as a Renaissance sculpture, and Alcaraz fights an android on a court suspended over a desert.

Before Nadal arrives in clay-golem form, Medvedev appears on a bear, a clear reference to his supremacy on the surface during his career.

The final player to appear is Djokovic, who roars back at wolves while standing in a snow-covered mountain range before unleashing a fierce stroke that lights up a court.

Others who were as excited about the ‘Call of the Kings’ promotion as Liam Broady were.

“Speechless as to how damn cool this promo is,” he wrote on X. Probably the best tennis match I’ve ever watched. Would see this film. 10 out of 10.

Murray, however, disagreed, disparaging the occasion and asserting that Broady won’t watch it because it is an exhibition.

“Except it’s not a movie, and you won’t watch it because it’s an exhibition tennis event that nobody cares about,” the former British citizen wrote.
