“Believing in oneself as a player and not living up to your expectations, particularly in the past two years, may be difficult. It’s a challenging role since I am aware of how irritating it may be at times to feel like I’m not reaching my full potential. I find it even more aggravating if it irritates other people. I work even harder every year to meet and surpass those expectations because I know where I should be and that I haven’t lived up to them,” Claypool stated. The long-armed wide receiver hasn’t exceeded 500 receiving yards in the last two seasons, after having two consecutive 800-yard receiving seasons to open his career.
“I’ve learned from all those mistakes,” Claypool went on. Every time you make a mistake or experience an accident, in my opinion, you must learn from it and use that knowledge to advance. That appears to be what I did. There will be good days and bad days in the future, but for now, I believe you should learn from the bad days and build on the good ones so that you can eventually reach your desired destination.
Last season, Claypool’s exit from the Chicago Bears was ultimately caused by a number of off-field incidents. Upon joining the Miami Dolphins, he had to make do with a reserve position.
Buffalo Bills: Chart of WR Depth
