This offseason, Jason Kelce is still at the Eagles’ facilities.
Center Jason Kelce will not be playing for the Philadelphia Eagles this season, but that does not mean he won’t be involved in some way. During an appearance on the Up and Adams show, Lane Johnson discussed how frequently Kelce has visited the facility this offseason.
Lane Johnson stated on Up and Adams, “Most definitely (he should coach), he was in the building maybe more than a lot of players this offseason.” Yes, he was lifting, stretching, and conversing while in there. I believe he was merely looking for guidance and input from others regarding his future, even though he spent a lot of time in the building.
While it is not shocking, it is intriguing to learn that Jason Kelce is visiting the Eagles’ facilities this summer. The Eagles have a very old culture that spans almost ten years. Johnson and Kelce had a lengthy playing career together, and during that time, Kelce led the Eagles. In a manner, he can carry on in that capacity. Remarkably, Johnson stated that former Eagles players like Connor Barwin and Brent Celek still visit the facility on a regular basis.

Johnson stated on Up and Adams, “It’s going to be tough, but I think he’ll be in the building at least once or twice a week.” (Brent) Celek has already begun to achieve that. I anticipate Connor (Barwin) to be inside the building because he is there.
It would be fascinating to see whether Kelce has any inside knowledge about the Eagles to share, especially since he will be in the building every week and visible during the pregame on ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage.

Johnson added that during the season, Kelce had so many packages that it was difficult to access to his own locker. He also mentioned that Kelce’s locker has been moved to the coach’s locker room. Now, the coach’s locker room may be experiencing the same issue.
Johnson said on Up and Adams, “Yeah, I believe he has a locker in the coach’s locker room now.” “This guy had more packages at his locker; you couldn’t even get to his locker, so they better watch out.” You couldn’t go to the rear of the locker; it was just boxes. During the year, he kind of built a small fort. So be careful in the coach’s locker room.
Whether or not Kelce has a formal title, it will be interesting to watch how involved he stays with the Eagles in retirement. It will also be helpful for players to talk to him and bounce ideas off of him. According to Johnson, if he is in there once a week, that might be really helpful for the Eagles in managing their ups and downs over the season.
Kelce is just another illustration of how Philadelphia has a positive culture and invites back its former players.
