Hearing pundits’ perspectives on particular fan bases and sports locales is usually interesting.
One of the most well-known commentators and voices in sports, Joe Buck, recently talked about what it’s like to be among Philadelphia sports fans.
Buck stated on Take Off with John Clark, “I still think I’d get booed if I saved a busload of kittens from drowning in the river.”

Philadelphia is well-known—or infamous, depending on your point of view—for being an avid sports fan.
Fans of teams like the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, 76ers, and so on are renowned for their ability to turn out in large numbers to cheer on and support their team.
Throughout his illustrious broadcasting career, Buck has called several NFL and MLB games in Philadelphia, so he is familiar with the intensely competitive and intense atmosphere.
Few major sports cities have the same intensity as Philadelphia.
Naturally, there are ardent supporters of their favorite teams in big cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc. that always bring the enthusiasm into the arena.
But as Buck is all too aware, there’s just something different about the fandom and vibe in the City of Brotherly Love.
In addition to Pro Football Hall of Famer and color analyst Troy Aikman, Buck will broadcast Monday Night Football between the Falcons and Eagles in Philadelphia during Week 2.
