P.J. Washington is ‘excited’ about Klay Thompson joining the Mavericks.

P.J. Washington of the Dallas Mavericks talked about how he feels about having Klay Thompson around and how he can teach him things.

In an offseason sign-and-trade deal involving six teams, the Dallas Mavericks acquired Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors. There is a lot of enthusiasm about what can be accomplished with the sharpshooter added, especially after making it to the NBA Finals.

P.J. Washington applauded Klay Thompson’s trade to the Mavericks, noting his leadership qualities as a four-time NBA champion and his extremely potent outside shooting that will complement Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.

Washington stated, “I think he brings a lot to our team.” “A great deal of initiative. He’s obviously been on top of the mountain for a long time. Thus, I think it’s fantastic that he’s a member of our team and that he imparts some information to us.

It will be really difficult, Washington continued. “You (Thompson) cannot depart. He is a knock-down shooter, while Kyrie and Luka are definitely there to perform their respective roles.

Playing next to three players with Doncic, Irving, and Thompson’s skill set will force the defense to make difficult decisions fast during a game.

Playing with players like that will only make myself and the guys around me better, Washington claimed. “Like I said, everyone will have open shots, and they will command all the attention.”

Considering that Thompson is among the all-time great three-point shooters in NBA history, Washington is eager to pick his brain. Increasing Washington’s shooting consistency is one of the team’s objectives, as is the Mavericks’.

He is undoubtedly among the greatest three-point shooters of all time, according to Washington. I believe that talking to him on a variety of topics will benefit both my professional growth and that of my coworkers.

Should Thompson regain some of his previous level of play, the Mavericks will prove to be a formidable opponent. He is anticipated to start on the wing next to Doncic and Irving, with Washington occupying the fourth position. Dereck Lively II is the favorite to become the team’s full-time center, but Daniel Gafford is still an option.
