Bills GM Brandon Beane calls out “idiots everywhere” who seek to defame Josh Allen

When asked to address derogatory remarks made about quarterback Josh Allen by an unidentified NFL executive, Beane did not hold back.

Following the team’s first 2024 training camp practice at St. John Fisher University on Wednesday, general manager of the Buffalo Bills Brandon Beane took his first time in the hot seat. Beane was contacted almost immediately to address remarks made by an unidentified NFL executive who claimed quarterback Josh Allen was overvalued.

Brandon Beane expressed himself honestly. Not even close.

“Josh Reed, I have no idea where to begin. You try to dismiss things like this, like Josh is into his seventh year, but the doubters still exist, and it is frustrating. It is beyond me. If I were going to use the term “rated,” I would say “underrated” instead of “overrated.” I am aware of my bias. I love him every day and he is our guy. I understand that people are drawn to public figures’ rankings, but who is this CEO when they make remarks like that without putting their name to it? “Entrepreneur” is a vague phrase. I think I was called an executive far earlier than I should have been. I simply want to suggest that we really should not validate it if you are not going to sign your name to it. You know I am not into that kind of thing, but I know it gets validated since it is on ESPN. You know, I wish that kind of comment had not been included by the author. Again, I know I am biased, but I do not think Josh deserves it, and I am sick of hearing it.

Sal Maiorana asked Beane what would make someone think Josh Allen is an overvalued NFL quarterback, and Beane gave him a straightforward response.

“Sal, idiots are everywhere.”

If Brandon Beane is going to make such audacious accusations, then it makes sense, if nothing else, that he expects this nameless executive to come out of hiding.

Furthermore, what do you know? All of that Big Baller Beane enthusiasm is what we are here for.
