Due to a hamstring injury, pace bowler Jeremiah Louis will not be playing in the final Test against England. Akeem Jordan, a fast bowler, has been called up by the West Indies to take Louis’ place for the third Test. On Wednesday, July 24, Jordan will report to the squad and take part in the training session at Edgbaston, which is the home of the final Test. In the meantime, Louis, who had not participated in the series, was hurt in Trent Bridge’s second game. He will keep traveling to get treatment with the squad.
Brathwaite stated, “We’ve faced some difficult obstacles, but it’s critical we regroup and give it our all in the final Test.” “Akeem has a lot of potential and we think he can contribute significantly.”
While he waits for his first Test cap, Jordan has impressed with his home country’s cricket. He has taken 67 wickets at an average of 24.1 in 19 first-class games, including two five-wicket hauls.
The West Indies team has a number of quick bowlers in addition to Jordan, like as Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, and Jayden Seales.
But the series is already decided; England defeated the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs at Lord’s and by 241 runs at Trent Bridge to establish an insurmountable 2-0 advantage. Starting on Friday, July 26, there will be the third and final Test.
