Several well-known athletes have voiced their opinions on the age-old scheduling controversy, which has emerged as one of the main subjects in the sport right now. Carlos Alcaraz is just one of many.

But given that player welfare is supposed to be the top priority in these elite sports, it’s an extremely important problem that has to be addressed immediately.

Support from all throughout the tennis world is always appreciated, and Andy Roddick’s most recent remarks will undoubtedly aid their cause.

If players follow the former world number one’s advice, it might also scare the ATP and WTA.

Carlos Alcaraz receives scheduling advice from Andy Roddick.

In response to Alcaraz’s open criticism of the schedule, Roddick made an effort to participate in this discussion.

The four-time Grand Slam champion acknowledged the idea that is currently popular: “As I’ve said many times, the schedule in tennis is really tight.” I enjoy playing in a variety of different competitions. But occasionally, I’m unable to. This was true for me the previous year. losing the Davis Cup. However, I’m really looking forward to it this year. For me, it’s a truly unique emotion.

Now, the American has given Carlos Alcaraz advice on how to bring about change in the podcast Served with Andy Roddick.

“The players who have played the most have to recover,” asserted Roddick. Swiatek is warning you that Carlos seems to be saying too much at required events whenever he says something unfavorable.

Yes, Carlos, you know what to do: just quit playing the required events and watch what happens. I’m going to venture that they won’t cancel the tour on you. Raise your hand and call their bluff.

John McEnroe demanded that athletes abstain from Grand Slams in order to make his point.

Carlos Alcaraz’s happiness could be taken away by the tennis schedule.

If the current schedule is maintained, with new events added without providing a respite for these gamers, ultimately something horrible will occur.

Alcaraz went so far as to theorize: “They’re probably going to kill us.”

“Right now, that [injury] is going to cause a lot of good players to miss a lot of tournaments.”

At a time when the Big Three’s impact was beginning to wane, this Spanish superstar brought much-needed energy and enthusiasm to the game, and for that, he deserves all the praise in the world.

However, it’s really telling if this 21-year-old, who, as Roddick points out, goes about everything grinning, is already unhappy with the schedule.

If they keep driving him and his friends into the ground, he may soon lose the unrestrained delight for which he is known.

The ATP and WTA shouldn’t have to act dramatically before taking a position.
