Drake Maye’s journey to this honor began at the University of North Carolina, where he showcased exceptional talent as the Tar Heels’ quarterback. In his first season as a starter, Maye completed 342 of 517 passes (66.2%) for 4,321 yards and 38 touchdowns, leading the team to the ACC Coastal Division title. His dual-threat capability was evident as he also led the team in rushing with 698 yards and seven touchdowns.
