Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel stated that they would have one joint session with the Washington Commanders before playing a preseason game. Washington travels to Miami in the second week of the three-week preseason. McDaniel also stated that the Dolphins will do joint practices with their other preseason opponents, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Commanders begin their preseason with an away game against another AFC East opponent, the New York Jets, in New Jersey. They end the preseason with a home game against the New England Patriots. Dan Quinn stated that his perspective on joint practices has shifted, and he now sees a significant benefit in doing them before preseason games. He planned to hammer out the logistics for joint practices when the schedule was released, and we now have our first news on Washington’s participation in them.
